I’m a content creator, an entrepreneur, RV camper enthusiast, and I write about productivity and mental health. I love connecting with like-minded people.

I’ve been trying to find my way to write consistently on Medium for over a year.

Why do I want to write in the first place?

I want to write to connect with like-minded people. It’s exciting for me if I read someone’s article and that writer seems to point thoughts directly to me. It makes me want to respond either by commenting or writing another whole new article along the same ideas.

Since I’ve retired from my daily job, I often ask myself; “What do I want to do with my time?” I’m not in favor of eating out in restaurants very often, and I choose not to spend my time drinking or gambling. Since most people are in such a hurry all the time…

But how can I learn how to focus, when I have too much to do?

Photo by Dylan McLeod on Unsplash

Are you someone like me, who wants to avoid “overwhelm” as much as possible, but still get everything done on your to-do list? Well, I think I can help you out. We need to learn how to focus better, by zooming to only one thing at a time. Popular multi-tasking mindsets are harmful to our brains. Let me explain.

Neuroplasticity is an unfamiliar word for me to explore and learn more about. Lately, I’ve been reading so many articles here on medium about procrastination and I know I’ve had that problem most of my life.

So, I figured out how you and I can focus on ideas which will help us accomplish our goals , feel happier, and more full-filled at…

Does life often make you anxious?

Photo by Priscilla Du Preez on Unsplash

About six months ago, I noticed I was having anxiety attacks almost every other day. There wasn’t too much stress in my life, rather I didn’t think so. While I have hypothyroidism and realizing anxiety is a side affect of the disease I sought an understanding of the triggers that may cause overwhelm.

Not knowing where to begin, I started to look at my diet. Immediately, I considered caffeine and sugar may be contributing to the problem. …

I believe my food is my medicine.

They have reported that we all are born with cancer cells. Stress, poor diet, processed foods, cigrettes, water, and other things can cause cancer.

So far, knock on wood, I’ve not been diagnosed with cancer. However, if I could prevent myself from getting the awful disease — then I'm willing to try anything,

Health Science Institute has reported one of the best known natural therapies for liver disease may hold the key to fighting cancers.

Milk Thistle and artichokes contain a constituent called silymarin that has been used for 2,000 years to treat…

I’m serious about my writing strategy and trying to find what works for me.

Photo by Aaron Burden on Unsplash

I’ve been writing posts every day in June. It’s hard coming up with new ideas on what to write about that interest my reader. I’m not sure what someone will read, so I have to depend on creating an outstanding headline to draw in my reader.

Finding the time to write

I’m retired now and have plenty of time to do what I want. I write best early morning hours. But lately I’ve been writing in the afternoon, since I spend the morning reading and commenting.

I’ve challenged myself to write…

I’m writing from the heart.

I think the world is in bad shape, due to mankind’s destruction over many years. But life is precious and short for us humans. I’m thankful, grateful to have my life that I’ve created the best way I knew how.

I’m proud to be an American and so humble toward our armed services for keeping us free. Every person who lives in this country, should be made to be respectful toward the American flag or leave. That’s my opinion!

What do I love about the world?

I love the beauty of the earth and all the magnificent animals, plants and different cultures…

Simple habits that anyone could cultivate to live a long healthy life.

The Blue Zone is where the longest living people live.

Dan Buettner spent years studying each culture and pinpointing the exact reasons why they’ve lived to be 100 years old or more. He discovered they have nine key lifestyle habits in common which he named the “Power 9.”

Here is a list of the “Power 4”

Identifying brain fog is important.

Photo by Mehmet Bozgedik on Unsplash

Brain fog is a scary situation. Sometimes it’s hard to know the difference between brain fog and short-term memory loss. But there is a difference.

Brain fog causes you to have a confused feeling. You may feel like you know the steps to take to solve a problem, but there are too many choices. Then confusion sets in. This is when you know you have “brain fog”.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in 2013 and one of the many side affects of this illness is brain fog. …

Because learning can be fun, if you are curious — and I want to use my creative side to learn new writing strategies.

Photo by Quinten Braem on Unsplash

Some years ago, I learned about the importance of being a life-long learner. Learning new things seems to put a new spark in my life, as long as I don’t get too frustrated with difficult new approaches. I’m not good with math, so I steer away from approaching skills that require a lot of math calculations.

I favor learning new crafts — something I can do with my hands. I like painting, sewing, needle work, crocheting and…

I’m a cautious solo traveler.

Photo by Alex Guillaume on Unsplash

It was a couple of years ago that I became interested in camping and traveling. I looked at getting a pull-behind camper, a class C and a van. I didn’t want to get a pull behind, for fear of backing it in a camp spot. Plus, I didn’t like the idea of getting out of my truck and walking outside to get in the camper, for a variety of reasons. Mostly for my safety.

It’s not safe or convenient for me

A pull behind camper is just not safe for me. If I ran into trouble, it would be too difficult to…
